Position: Solution Architect — Location: Warsaw (1 day of remote work per week) Contract: B2B — Rate: up to 200 PLN/h net + VAT We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect who will be responsible for designing and developing modern IT solutions in the retail sector. The role involves collaboration with business and technology teams and participation in the transformation of systems towards cloud and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing IT solution architecture for the retail sector (brick-and-mortar sales, e-commerce, omnichannel, logistics, store operations)
• Creating architecture with an API-first, event-driven, microservices, and serverless approach
• Designing and coordinating system integrations (POS, ERP, WMS, OMS, CRM, e-commerce, loyalty systems, payments)
• Analyzing business needs and translating them into technological solutions
• Collaborating on the modernization and migration of legacy systems (Azure/AWS)
• Defining integration, security, and data exchange standards (IAM, PIM, Zero Trust, API security)
• Recommending solutions that enhance scalability and reduce vendor lock-in
• Collaborating with product, project, and development teams (including outsourcing)
• Conducting architectural workshops and stakeholder agreements
• Creating architectural documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications
• Overseeing architecture consistency and the quality of system integrations
• Resolving complex technical and integration issues
• Evaluating new technologies and tools for their business applicability

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, including in the role of Systems Architect or Solutions Architect
• Experience in designing cloud architecture (Azure and/or AWS) with a focus on scalability and high availability
• Familiarity with architectural patterns: microservices, event-driven, API Gateway, serverless
• Practical knowledge of cloud security (IAM, PIM, RBAC)
• Ability to assess TCO and ROI for IT solutions
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK)
• Experience in system integration (API, ESB/middleware, microservices)
• Proficiency in English sufficient for technical and business work
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Independence and good organizational skills
• Experience in digital transformation and migration of legacy systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar)
• Knowledge of modeling tools (Archimate, UML, BPMN)
