We are looking for an experienced Mid/Senior Big Data Developer who will be responsible for designing and implementing modern data processing systems and Big Data platforms according to client requirements and the Scrum process. The project involves the development of solutions based on Big Data architecture, including elements of stream analytics and real-time data processing. — 📍 Location: Warsaw / hybrid (about 10% office work) 💰 Rate: 1000–1200 PLN MD + VAT (depending on experience and seniority) — 📄 Form of cooperation: B2B 🧩 Work methodology: Scrum / Agile

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing the architecture of modern Big Data systems
• Building and developing batch and streaming processes in Apache Spark
• Integrating data from multiple sources
• Creating and developing data processing solutions according to best practices
• Optimizing data process performance
• Collaborating with the development team, analysts, and clients in the Scrum methodology
• Preparing technical documentation and participating in code reviews
• Maintaining high code quality, tests, and deployments

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT industry
• Experience in designing Big Data solution architectures
• Very good knowledge of Big Data concepts, Data Warehousing, and Data Management
• Familiarity with Hadoop Cloudera/Hortonworks platforms
• Very good knowledge of Apache Spark
• Minimum 4 years of experience in creating batch processes in Spark using Python or Scala
• Minimum 4 years of experience in creating streaming processes in Spark using Python or Scala
• Experience with streaming technologies, e.g., Apache Kafka
• Knowledge of data formats: JSON, PARQUET, ORC, AVRO
• Familiarity with data technologies such as Hive, Kudu, HBase
• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Experience in integrating data from multiple sources
• Knowledge of best practices in designing, coding, testing, and deploying Big Data solutions
• Communicative knowledge of Polish and English

Nice to have

• Practical knowledge of Agile and tools like Jira, Confluence, Kanban, Scrum
• Experience in CI/CD automation
