RITS Software House, part of the RITS Group, is an IT company specializing in programming, offering top-quality services for both the Polish and international markets. We are looking for individuals for the position of Data Analyst who want to work with advanced data models and influence the quality of data products at the enterprise level. The person in this role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data models, as well as extracting and standardizing financial data from various formats. This is a technical role with elements of mentoring and cross-team collaboration, carried out in a remote work model. Responsibilities

• Extracting and standardizing financial data from various formats (PDF, HTML, XBRL, iXBRL) while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Designing, implementing, and optimizing data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for enterprise-level solutions.
• Creating and maintaining model documentation: ERD diagrams, data dictionaries, and structures for transactional, star, and flat schemas.
• Collaborating with data engineering teams to democratize the data model and design efficient data pipelines.
• Defining and enforcing data modeling standards and conducting analyses to verify model correctness and data quality.
• Designing data classifications and taxonomies and managing reference data.
• Programming and automating analytical processes using Python, Spark, Regex, Shell, and SQL; including meta-programming and generating dynamic code.
• Managing and optimizing databases (e.g., SQL Server, Neo4j, Snowflake, PostgreSQL) and working with data storage formats (Parquet, AVRO, Delta).
• Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify trends and generate actionable insights.
• Mentoring and supporting junior analysts in data analysis, programming, and statistical methods.
• Working closely with product managers and analysts to translate business requirements into robust data structures and resolve data quality issues.

Requirements

• Higher education in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management and data modeling.
• Experience in building data models from scratch (greenfield) across various domains; knowledge of data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, and normalization/denormalization techniques.
• Practical knowledge of modeling tools (e.g., Erwin Data Modeler, PowerDesigner, or similar).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and cloud databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Familiarity with data services on the Azure platform (Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure SQL) will be an advantage.
• Experience with programming in Python, Spark, and automation using Shell/Regex scripts.
• Knowledge of data formats and file structures (Parquet, AVRO, Delta) and various database systems, including graph databases (Neo4j).
• Ability to solve complex problems, independence, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
• Effective communication and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
